(over the comm) *connects to the datanet and dials up the local GeDeCo branch, then waits for the messages to scroll through to the part where I can record a short voice mail* "Hi. Jerdehl Nishka, Administrator Pro Tem of the Starship Pioneer, on behalf of Captain Athena and Sir Sultana. This is a courtesy call. We have berthed at Marduk High, and we are currently on the way to the shuttle port to come down to your office number, uh, two five six, at Marduk Down."
"Thank you for prepaying our refuelling fees for us. I look forward to meeting your rep in person. It will be Sir Sultana or Captain Athena who will give you the code word you want to hear. I am not authorised to use that word, but we will say it at our destination. Niskha out."

[musing to self--since no one else around to apparently welcome me] "Why am I here aboard this vessel all on my own?
