Travellers of Consequence
Travellers are often active and well known in a local area or System. Some Travellers have a skill set that brings them fame or notoriety over more than a single system. For ease of tracking for people to have an understanding of how well known a Traveller is, and how it affects the Perceived Attitude of a contacts attitude we track those with a skill level of 4 or higher. Also noteworthy are those Travellers with a very high Social Standing which brings a different kind of attention.

- Sultana - Melee Blade - 4 - From 1088-1091, Lt Sultana rapidly rose through the ranks of competitive dueling (earned Blade 3 and 4 both in this term) from relative obscurity to near notoriety. There were rumors of something unsavory about at least one of his matches, although the details are never the same from tale to tale. He left the Navy soon after that and picked up civilian life in the courts of Star Lane. During the years since he's kept in practice with the blade, and has fought multiple duels. At least a few involved fatalities. He doesn't have a reputation for initiating the duels, but he certainly doesn't shrink from them.

- Tep - Science (Astronomy) - 4 - Tepawabpeperfobaweafe, whose name means "one who writes the leaves of the tree of stars" , was a rising star student at Tobia University in the field of Astrophysics. Working under the tutelage of Brichy Cottev, Tepawabpeperfobaweafe authored a student paper on the "Challenges of the Three-Body Problem in Modern Astrogation" in which he attached the weight of black matter as a consideration in predictive computer modeling against jump emergence expectations and timing. The paper brought him recognition and the offer of a fellowship. From 1088 through 1099, Tepawabpeperfobaweafe worked with Cottev in further developing his Three-Body Black Matter hypothesis and designing computer models that would predict and compensate for the missing black matter values. Unfortunately, at the end of 1099, disagreements in authorship billing and scholarship lead to Tepawabpeperfobaweafe leaving Tobia University for Imisaa Astrophysics Research Institute where a breakthrough in 1102 in his hypothesis lead to the Three-Body Chaos Theory of Black Matter Astrophysics or what some people call the Bwap Black Chaos Theory (though never in writing or around a bwap, especially Tepawabpeperfobaweafe as it is considered reductive and disrespectful. Few survive a lecture about etiquette and astrophysics from Tepawabpeperfobaweafe and remain sober). The publication of the Three-Body Chaos Theory of Black Matter Astrophysics nicely settled the dispute with Brichy Cottev. In 1104, Tepawabpeperfobaweafe signed onto the Pioneer'' to begin field research.

Working for Tukera Lines (Vemene), Jeet infiltrated Ling-Standards Products (as Gene Torque) in Strouden, SM2327, and did industrial espionage for a term. Then, under a different name (James Principle), hired on to Ling-Standards Products (Robotics Research Division) in Trin, SM3235, to conduct personal industrial espionage. Jeet shouldn't be known under his personal name for a lot of stuff he has done. On purpose.
Coming out of University, Jeet earned a Doctorate, not just a degree, due to a confrontation with a Teaching Assistant: Cheated?!?
