There is no easy way to communicate across interstellar distances. Messages can only travel as fast as the starship that carries them.

Here is where the Travellers post the messages they send out into the stars and await an answer.

Opening Message sent to Travellers as part of Stepping Stone II

Message sent to multiple sophonts in multiple Systems. Greetings (names(s)), I am inviting you to a meeting for a business proposition that I believe you are interestingly qualified for. I will affirm that if you do attend a full briefing that you will receive 5,000 credit stipend upon arrival. I assert that this meeting does not violate your personal standards and I am certain that you will find the subject matter intriguing. The details of the meeting must remain discrete. This is to protect my business interests, not due to any illegalities. If at the end of our briefing you do not feel it appropriate for you to take this offer you will be free to return back to your own career without penalty. This meeting will be at the Marduk downport on 1104-341, building number 256. When you arrive ask "Amber" so that I will know you have chosen to listen to the briefing. If you ask for "Gold" I will understand that you do not choose to listen. You will still receive the stipend in recompense for your travels.

The message comes with a 5,000 credit voucher in the Travellers name.

Mikhel Holiday Cards 1105 Holiday messages to his "Holiday Card List" addressees. Besides now-Colonel Rushanii, it will include, of course, Amanda Parsons, as well as Rear Admiral Countess Nashu Darrashnu and Colonel Kaias Giirkaa. A small note to now-Lt Commander Kiiliani, telling him about the SAR mission he got to perform, would be of interest to his first Pilot Instructor. Also to the Keiinma family in memory of Lapabe, which is always a tough one to write.

1. (C) This is an official inquiry concerning the recommendation to recognize the subject member for his performance in the presence of an armed enemy in an Operational Area. The subject member was originally recommended for recognition in the Reference C document, among several other members of the 2nd Company, 1st Batallion, of the 6982nd Imperial Marine Regiment.

2. (C) It is the opinion of this Commanding Officer that an injustice has been perpetrated upon the subject member. He is deserving of some level of recognition for his actions in an engagement with an armed enemy, actions which were essential to the survival of the unit, and to the elimination of a threat to the entire 1st Battalion, as well as allowing the 1st Battalion to retain its critical position in the line of battle. In addition to allowing 2nd Company to hold its position against an ambush of heavy fire by artillery and a charge of superior numbers of highly motivated infantry, Corpsman Dromah saved the lives of over forty members of his Company.

3. (C) The Reference C document was sufficient in its recommendations to recognise four other members of the Company, who all received a medal commensurate to their performance. References D through H (See Annex A, Appxs I - V) are statements from members of the 2nd Company who witnessed the performance of the subject member, some of whom state in their declarations that they would not have been able to perform their subsequent, medal worthy actions, had it not been for Corpsman Dromah first rendering medical aid to them.

4. (C) It is understood that technically the time limit for awarding medals for performance in battle has past, however, the original recommendation was made within weeks of the battle. Why was Corpsman Dromah overlooked? As the Commanding Officer of the subject member’s Regiment, I respectfully request an answer as soon as possible.

1104-351 Torpol in system message for Mikhel Dromah

"Dr Dromah, I have completed my assessment of your young lady who was being held by Torpol Security. I have concluded that she is not being held against her will by anyone. She was treated well by security at the Highport here in system. She was taken into custody, she had medical scans done, a brief mental assessment completed, and she was released under her own recognizance. As best I can tell she departed the Torpol system today in a private ship.

Knowing that would not be satisfactory I took it upon myself to do additional investigation. From what I could gather by speaking with friends in security this young lady was frustrated to be paroled over to two gentlemen, hence the delay of the additional mental assessment to try and determine if there was any coercion. Apparently the disagreement was that security would not let her freely leave the station without proper identification and her two gentlemen friends were in possession of her documentation. By all accounts the three of them left on civil terms, she willing went with them.

I have exhausted the resources you provided for this task. I do not believe it is fruitful to continue to pursue anything further here in system. It could become rather expensive if you wish to send someone to try and track her down. In my opinion this is a case of a run away child who is being brought back home, though I admit I have very little to corroborate this scenario other than experience. Highport security has ceased to be interested in this person.
