Personal History

Amada Cerabu is an uplifted ape, smaller than some, much larger than others. He carries himself with an air of dignity, an air of status, affecting the accoutrements of a certain station. But while he adopts these affectations, he makes no bones about the fact that they are exactly that, affectations.

Uhuna and Uita Cerabu settled on Batav in the Tobia Subsector of the Trojan Reach, on the very edge of the Imperial frontier. Archeologists, the lure of ruins rumoured to be associated with the Ancients were a powerful draw. It is in the investigation of these ruins that Amada Cerabu grew up. Inquisitive, curious, intelligent, outgoing, happy.

His education was anything but standard. While others were in school learning the traditional standards, Amada was climbing mountains and icecaps, navigating oceans and islands, anywhere an artifact might be found. But Amada did not need this education to be different. The Cerabus were uplifted apes. Relatively few in chartered space, they stood out.

The unorthodox education paved Cerabu’s way to the Merchant Academy on Tobia where he made friends, connections, and made a bridge between the past and the present, though he still stood out. Standing out, became the norm for Cerabu and continued as he graduated with honours.

University records show Amada Cerabu enrolled at Conio Merchant Academy on Tobia in 1072 listing him as graduating with honours in 1076. He was recruited by Starlink Merchant Factor, Inc. Taking a position on Imisaa started Cerabu’s journey onto the Hierate Route as his expertise moved him up the ranks quickly. Very quickly. But success can be a double-edged sword. Imisaa led to Fist where Cerabu started dealing in antiquities coming across The Reach along the Hierate Route. Fist lead even deeper onto the route and into antiquities. And when the double-edge of the sword struck, Cerabu left public service.

More than fifteen years passed before Cerabu returned to the public world. Fifteen years he keeps to himself.
