A bit of self-introduction:
I live in California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. A software engineer by trade, although I'm looking to retire early within the next couple of months.
I've been roleplaying off and on since the late 70s, although I took a long break from around 2000 until the pandemic, and I started exploring the options of online socializing and entertainment. Most of my RPG experience is with GURPS and HERO, although I own and have tinkered with dozens of systems. I dabbled briefly with Traveller back in the early 90s, but have been playing quite a bit of it the last 4 years. This is my 3rd Pirates of Drinax campaign, interestingly enough.
