To the crew of the Pioneer I hope everyone is doing well today. I am just looking for some expertise. I need somebody with some science or medical background to check out the cargo we are taking on board to make sure it’s all above board and is what they say it is. Also, as it is very valuable and a lot of money is exchanging hands any muscle would be greatly appreciated too. Please let me know if you’re available. We will be heading out at 13:00. Thanks again Harison Dawn

M. Dawn,
As Ship's Doctor/Medic, it is one of my duties to inspect cargo for condition and safety. Please confirm you are using Voyager for pick-up, and I will be at the Docking Ring at 13:00.

To Mikhel Dromah, Pioneer Ship's Doctor, So Called.
Mr P.C. Happy to have you and your expertise on board for this little trip. We are indeed using the Voyager for this pick-up, so I’ll will see you at 13:00.
Harison Dawn

1104-356 12:00

Harison started to the pre-checks and getting the Voyager ready making sure he had clearance and everything was good for takeoff when everyone turned up. He had his gun strapped to his side in it holster, you can never be too careful. When he was finished, he just waited for the others to come on board.

Just as Harison, Sultana, and Mikhel are ready to leave for the short hop to Highport Eleni pops her head into the hatchway. (Eleni)Make sure you pick up Sherris sometime this afternoon evening. She is staying at the Downport last night, can't let her be late. Thanks Doc she says with a wink

The Voyager makes the short flight to the cargo ring of Highport. Docking the group quickly finds the shipment waiting for them. The broker seems stressed and anxious to move his goods. When queried {anyone with streetwise or carousing [Mikhel succeeds]} he awkwardly admits that he has to move these goods today because he is trying to not lose his lease on the space. This sale will keep him in business for another month. He is not sure after that.

After loading the cargo the group decides to make the hop down to the planet to fetch Sherris and pick up any last minute supplies anyone needs.

Were there any special handling requirements for the Cargo? And was there an expiration date? These are things that Mikhel would have asked about, when inspecting the cargo for condition and security. Also, after the training session, Mikhel is looking for AP rounds for the Snub Pistol. And, perhaps better armor. Body plate carriers?

As the ship is on its way down to the Downport. Harison asks “ What’s our business in Drinax and why is it important we are there for new years or is it above my pay grade if so that ok? And is the Lab ship in trouble or in danger for a science ship there is a lot of ex military and navy onboard?”

Mikhel is leaving the above comments/questions for the Leadership to answer.

Sir Lt Sultana swivels his chair to face the Admiral. "Actually, a bit of an oversight on our part, we haven't discussed what to tell our new hires yet. You'll definitely get the full story once we jump outsystem. No point in not telling you after that. Brief overview, a third party commissioned us to meet up and assist a client on Drinax, but it's still a little vague on a few points, and we're going to have to clarify it on the fly. One, the client may not want our assistance. Two, if they do, we shouldn't tell them a third party sent us, because of past history. And three, if we do get hired to help, exactly how we're going to wind up helping has yet to be determined. It's very likely to involve conflict with opposed parties in some form or another, though. At the moment, everything we're doing is out-of-pocket, which is why we're not spending very much. Once the client hires us, we should have more capital at our disposal. It's completely unlike the Navy. I'm *sure* the Navy has never given you a vague set of instructions and no real plan of how to accomplish it before, right?" He winks at Admiral Dawn and turns to check a couple of sensors on the board.

Harrison gives a hearty laugh and winks back at lieutenant and clap them on the back. “No, they never do any thing like that ever. Thanks, lieutenant for letting me know I was kind of wondering was there something shady going on. To be honest with you, it does sound like an awful lot of cloak and dagger hope the contact can be trusted.” He sits in the copilot chair “Any chance I can fly her in for the landing get a feel for the ship?” As the ship starts the land process he has a look out the window to see can he see Sherris witch is pointless as his never meet them but he loves to see all the hustling bustle of the port. He turns back to Sultana “ We need to to find some party for New Year’s Eve on Dranix as I am not spend the night on the ship must be some noble party we can crash.”

"Already covered, Admiral. That's where we're meeting the client. Hope you brought your fancy shoes."
